Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy started as a therapy aimed at reducing stress Mindfulness was first used therapeutically by Jon Kabat-Zinn in the Stress Reduction Clinic at the University of Massachusetts Medical Centre in the late 1970’s.
The success of his program was revolutionary and signalled the beginning of a whole new wave of therapeutic support for depression, anxiety, stress and low mood.
